Once upon a time in the East

Just kidding! It's only been a few days ago since you've heard from me...and once upon a time seems ages ago...

I must say though, it does seem as if we've been here for ages. The month June has taken so long (it seems like months) and I just can't wait until we move into the house next week.

The park you see in the background is actually very near to our new home. We went there on Wednesday with the cityplaygroup and luckily, this particular day, it wasn't raining. Yep, in the West (as in Europe) you've had more sun for a change!

In Taipei you can visit many parks and it's great; you can relax, feed the fish, meet other kids, have a walk (except for me...however the buggy is very relaxing, as you can tell).

Today 7 moms and 10 kids! All different ages this time. Most of them already walking. I've just started to learn how I can role to one side and then sit up straight again (sounds just like a dog...ieks..?). However, most of time I just sit like a 'bag of potatoes'. That's what mum and dad always say, when they try to 'straighten me out' again!

The park we went to is called the Shuang Xi Park and I'm sure we will go there more often. You see, it's beautiful.

Tomorrow we are going swimming! At last! And having lessons from a real (baby) swimming-instructor. I do
wonder if I have to go 'full-face-down-under'...Not sure if I like that?! Well yeh, you've seen me in the bath tub. But let's be real, a swimmingpool is heavy stuff you know. It's huge, and deep, and...and...you name it! Good idea mum, you're there with me :-)

Anyway, that's for tomorrow. Now we're heading off 'home'. I'm looking forward to carrot-potatoe-veal for lunch and afterwards a lovely nap!
